The Truth About Penis Size and Genes

July 30th, 2009

They say it runs in the family. One inherits characteristics from either your mother or father. You may get your blue eyes from your father or your penchant for pumpkin seed from a great-grandmother. Men are however more curious why they didn’t inherit their uncle’s large penis.

There has been no definitive study linking penis size and genetics. After all, what determines a baby’s sex and genital is just hormones. Genetics is a very complicated thing to consider in terms of penis size but since we inherit our physical human traits from our parents, it follows that we can also inherit genital size.

Development of the penis also determines if a male has a small or large penis. If he has poor and weak development during puberty, it’s likely that he would have a shorter penis in his adult life. The male genitals usually start developing when the boy is around 9 ½ to 13 ½ years old. This is the usual age for puberty where the testicles are the first to develop. As he ages, pubic hair grows and the penis starts to lengthen, the girth widening until it grows to its maximum adult size. During this period, the testicles also develop alongside the penis. The male genitals usually takes two to fives years to completely develop into its full adult size.

Genetics may play a role in some penis size issues. These, however, results to a penile abnormality called micropenis, where the male organ is less than 7 centimeters in length. This is caused by a deficiency in pituitary growth hormone and/or gonadotropins and some experts also believe that certain genetic anomalies may result to this condition. Although it is yet to be identified, genetic syndromes may also be the culprit for micropenis.

They can be corrected with the appropriate growth hormone therapy or testosterone treatment provided it is diagnosed early in childhood. If puberty has already set in, the uncorrected condition may become permanent. Surgery has been suggested to further correct micropenis or if it has passed into adulthood untreated. Surgeries however have lots of risks involve although doctors who have used this procedure has reported a high level of success, claiming micropenises have been restored to normal sizes “without losing any erogenous sensation”.

Scientists have yet to find the genes that control penis size and the best thing to do is to be contented with what you have. Recent studies have shown that female preference to large penises has shown to decrease, more of them preferring a skilled lover than a well-endowed man who doesn’t know how to please a woman.

Does Race Dictate Penis Length?

May 22nd, 2008

The penis has been a great obsession for all mankind since the earliest history of man. Studies have also shown that the differences in length and girth of the male penis depend largely on one’s origins. There are also variations in sizes even within the race population itself. So what determines a big, average or small penis size is still largely dependent on the race.

There were scientists who conducted studies and discovered that there is no definitive relationship between race and penis length. The popular notion is that men of African ancestry have the biggest penis while Asian ones have the smallest. Although some studies have shown that the average African males have large penises, this should not be taken as a generalization because there are other factors to be considered.

The Black population, composed of African and African-American men, according to one study has been determined to have the largest penis size at 6.89” (175 mm) while Caucasian men ranks second at 6.22” (158 mm). Hispanic and Latin men average at 6.15” (156 mm) and Native Americans at 5.66” (144 mm). Asian men have the smallest penis size 5.33” (135 mm).

Scientific studies have determined this to be the case. However there are other factors that will also dictate penis size. This amounts to no more than the average for every race. There has also been a proliferation of studies found on the net with an otherwise different result. These results vary from country to country, with an expected increased penis size of the study’s country of origin.

The penis usually develops during puberty starting with the growth of the testicles and the penis develops until after five years from the time puberty started. Some males can develop a larger penis size not only because of race differences but also taking into consideration genetics. Males who have mixed parentage may develop penis sizes that characterize each of the parents. Female genes are more dominant than the male genes so most boys during puberty will likely develop according to their mother’s racial characteristics.

The conclusion is that there is no definitive study that can confirm that one race has the bigger penis than other races but it has been generally considered that some races may have a tendency for bigger genitalia. What should be kept in mind that it is not penis size that determines a great performance in bed for a man but his ability to compensate despite a smaller penis.

What Do Women Think About Penis Size?

March 2nd, 2008

Ever since they are young, men have been fascinated with their penis. Whether you admit it or not, your penis is one of the most important things in your life. How you wish that it’s a little bigger, or a little longer. Truly, most men have a perception that if they are well endowed they can perform better as lovers.

There are a lot of products in the market claiming to increase penis size. For example, there are surgeries to enlarge the size. There are also a lot of other products such as enlargement cream and penis enhancement pills. Concerning all these products, some of them work and some of them do not. But for an average man the thought of trying something to increase his size has definitely crossed his mind.

So, what do women think about penis size? The fact is that the size of the penis does not matter in a sexual encounter because the vagina itself adapts to whatever size is inserted into it. It measures only 3 inches when not aroused (this is different for women who already had babies). Even when sexually excited, the woman’s vagina extends only to about 4 inches in length. This means that you can easily fill her completely, unless you belong to a small percentage of guys with an erect length size of less than 4 inches.

Average penis sizes are reported to be between 4-7 inches. Remarkably, the size of the woman’s vagina can lengthen and widen when something is introduced to it gradually. Now if you are an exceptional man with a very long penis measuring 12 inches or more, it will not guarantee that you are better in bed. It is more likely that your penis will bring pain during a sexual encounter, and you have to do more to excite a woman properly and introduce your organ very slowly to be successful at it. Yet a penis of size about 8-10 inches should be alright. On the other hand, if you are having a penis of 5-6 inches in length, you may need to seek for ways to enlarge it.

There have been a lot of interviews, surveys and researches revealing that women are not attracted to men because of the length of their penis. The girth of the penis is more important. In spite of these, men still think the opposite way.

Now, you should know more about what do women think about penis size. Always bear in mind that in sex, you do not need to have an extra large penis. What counts is how you satisfy your partner and respond to her sexual needs, how you caress her and make her feel important, how you stimulate her and make her feel more of a woman. Of course it helps to learn a few good techniques every now and then.
